Lectures and poster sessions

All lectures take place in the Auditorium of the main building of the VU University Amsterdam. Poster sessions take place on the same floor of the building.

Address: De Boelelaan 1105, Amsterdam.

The university can be reached with tram 5 and and tram/metro 51, exit at stop
“De Boelelaan/VU”. Alternatively, trams 16 and 24 have their final stop in front of the university and connect to other parts of the city. Train station “Amsterdam Zuid” is within walking distance (10 min walk) of the VU as well.

Lunch

Simple lunch meals (sandwiches, fast food) are available in the university canteen. Entrance through the basement of the building; cash or debit payment. The closest selection of restaurants is in the area around the “Amsterdam Zuid” railway station (both sides) at a 10 minutes walk or one tram stop from the university.

Welcome reception

The welcome reception on Monday takes place at the “Tetterode library”. This is located in the “Aula” complex of the University of Amsterdam in the city center. Address: Singel 411. This location can be reached from the VU by taking tram 5 north, in the direction “Centraal station”, and exiting at stop “Spui”. The tram leaves every 6 minutes and the ride takes approximately 19 minutes.

Conference dinner

The conference dinner on Wednesday takes place in the “Winter Garden” of the Krasnapolsky hotel in the city center. Address: Dam 9. This location can be reached from the VU by taking tram 5 north, in the direction “Centraal station”, and exiting at stop “Dam”. The tram leaves every 6 minutes and the ride takes approximately 20 minutes. Dam square is also within walking distance (10 min walk) of central station.
